My name is Atamato and I am a Congolese Ranger working to protect the wildlife of Virunga National Park. Until May 2008 I was stationed at Ishango, pictured above, on the northern shores of Lake Edward. Since May 2008 I head up Lulimbi, a park station also in the northern sector of Virunga on Lake Edward, but more remote and more in need of experienced Rangers to protect the wildlife from the daily threat of poachers and armed militias.
